Jimin
I tried to rush Alina and the others as quickly as I could towards the house, even if I was completely torn. I wanted to go outside and help Hoseok and Jungkook, but I also knew I had to protect Alina and the kids. They had to be my priority.
Alina sat down on the couch, trembling like a leaf, visibly shaken and scared, but I knew her, she wasn’t scared for herself but the others and our baby.
‘We need to bolt the doors,’ I said to Huening Kai who was quickly limping towards the front door. I helped him put the metal pole that bolted the door.
I could hear Minho and Soraya crying loudly as Alina looked on, terrified herself. I hurried towards them, pulling them into a hug. ‘It’s going to be okay,’ I said, trying to sound confident, even though I was failing terribly at it.
‘Al…Alex,’ she mumbled as she went to let go of me. I held her back, knowing she wanted to go out there. ‘He’s just a kid. I…oh Goddess, I need… I need to get to him… I need to help…help him, I can… I can heal him’ she cried out, her hand covering my mouth.
I frowned as I looked at Huening Kai who shook his head. He approached and stood in front of us. ‘Luna, I’m sorry,’ he said.
‘So—sorry? Wha—what are you saying Huening Kai?’ she asked, her whole body trembling. I felt my heart break because I knew the answer to that. I knew why Huening Kai said that and I felt my heart ache and shatter.
‘He…passed Luna,’ Huening Kai said, his voice cracking. She shook her head and let out a heart wrenching sob. She gripped onto me as I felt my own tears fall as well while I held her tightly.
‘Shhh,’ I whispered as I rubbed her back. Huening Kai had knelt down, trying to comfort the kids. I looked out through the window, trying to look for Jungkook and Hoseok but there was no sign of them except for the loud growling.
‘Jimin… we need to help Jungkook and Hoseok,’ she said as she wiped her face. I shook my head and looked at her.
‘Love I want to go help them but you’re pregnant and we have the kids here. We have—’ I stopped just as I smelt wolves coming closer.
I gulped as I pushed Alina and the others behind me. Huening Kai looked at me as we both transformed into our wolves, taking a lot of space from the room.
‘Taehyung, Namjoon, Yoongi, Jin, we need help!’ I mentally screamed into the mind link. I knew we were being surrounded – I could tell from the strong smells and from the sounds of paws and growling.
‘We’re on our way Chim. We’re coming, please…’ Yoongi said, almost as if he was begging, but for what, I was not sure. I turned my head slightly to make sure Alina and the kids were still behind me. Alina had her hands raised, ready to attack if it came to that.
‘We’re almost there,’ Namjoon said with what almost felt like a growl. Suddenly, the glass window broke, sending shards of glass everywhere. Soraya screamed slightly while Alina held her.
Four wolves instantly jumped through the window, followed by three males. I gasped, instantly recognizing the one in front. It was the Alpha of the Red Sun Pack – Taehyung’s father.
‘Ahh would you look at this,’ he said while snickering as more wolves piled into the room. He took a step forward and I instantly growled at him.
‘Jimin what’s going on?’ Taehyung asked but I could not answer. I was focused on his father and his sickening smile. I had not forgotten the stories Taehyung told me and I had always hated him for the way he treated Taehyung.
‘Easy Omega filth, you’re no match for us,’ he said in a very condescending tone.
‘Don’t talk to him like that,’ Alina said angrily as she went to raise her hand.
‘Uh uh I wouldn’t do that if I were you,’ Taehyung said as he shook his fingers. It was almost as if he was mocking us. He moved slightly to the side and I gasped as I saw Jungkook and Hoseok being dragged in. They looked bloody and hurt.
‘Jungkook! Hoseok!’ Alina said as her hand flew to her mouth. She went to take a step forward but Huening Kai blocked her way.
‘APPAS!!!’ Minho screamed at the top of his lungs, ready to run towards them. I looked at him and shook my head.
‘Baby no! St—stay there!’ Jungkook said quickly in a very weak voice.
‘We’re…we’re okay baby, don’t worry. Close your eyes. It will be over soon,’ Hoseok said. I gulped, not sure what to do.
‘Wh—what do you want from us?’ Alina asked, her hand on her belly. Taehyung’s father took more steps closer but I growled louder. I may have been scared of him but I was not going to let him touch Alina or the kids or the people I cared about without a fight.
‘I see you’ve finally grown a little less scared but you’re still the same weak, pathetic Omega who cannot protect anyone,’ he said as he spat towards me. I saw Alina ball her hands into fists as she glared at him. ‘And you … you must be the Luna,’ he said as he scoffed. ‘Another pathetic weak *,’ he said.
Huening Kai growled but two of the wolves from the pack jumped on him, pinning him to the ground. ‘NO!! Let him go! Don’t hurt him, please,’ Alina said. ‘What do you want?’ she asked.
‘I want Taehyung to come back to his pack, but, the boy is blinded with love for his family. So, I’ll need an incentive,’ he said.
‘Taehyung… be careful, he wants you,’ I said through the mind link, knowing Taehyung and the others could hear me.
‘Me? What do you mean? Jimin who is there?’ Taehyung asked. I could hear his panting from the running even through the mind link.
‘Your father,’ I said as I focused on him. He took a step back and smirked.
‘You and this pack of rejects are making him weak. You’re keeping him from reaching his potential,’ he said.
‘You’re wrong,’ Alina said. ‘Our love, it makes us stronger,’ she argued back.
‘No, it makes you weaker because it gives you something to lose. Kill her and take the boy!’ he said.
‘NOOO!!’ I screamed as I jumped on the first one that came to attack Alina. I bit into him as I felt blood flow in my mouth but I was quickly sent to the ground. I heard Huening Kai howl in pain.
I saw Alina raise her hand as she sent three wolves crashing but there were too many. Jungkook and Hoseok broke free as they joined the fight, trying to protect our family.
I felt a wolf bite into my arm and another in my thigh. I howled, the excruciating pain taking over as I felt blood flow freely from me. I heard Hoseok yelp in pain as well before I heard Alina scream.
‘MAMA!!!’ Minho and Soraya both yelled just as I felt a blinding pain in my side and chest. I gasped, almost as if I was out of air while I looked at Alina. She had been pinned to the ground by a wolf who had scratched across her chest and tummy.
‘No….no! Alina!’ I screamed as I howled. Her pain felt worse than any pain I was enduring. I felt my body begin to change, unable to keep up the wolf form. I began to crawl towards her as she trembled on the ground. ‘Al…Alina,’ I said weakly just as I heard Minho yelling.
‘NOOO!! Let me go!!’ Minho yelled just as I lifted my head up. I saw one of the males grabbing him while Minho tried to kick and thrash at him.
‘No… please, no—not m—my s—son,’ I stuttered but Taehyung’s father just smirked.
‘You can’t even protect your son Omega,’ he said.
‘What about the girl?’ one of them asked while I gasped in pain and horror and despair. I tried to sit up but I felt a powerful kick connect to my ribs and another one on my back, pinning me down to the ground.
‘Leave her, we don’t need that weakling child. A son is always the most important,’ Taehyung’s father said as they began to leave while my vision went blurry. The sounds become muffled and the air thick with the scent of blood.
I felt like I could no longer breathe, my heart aching too much. It felt like my soul was being ripped from me knowing that three of my mates were badly hurt, that my son was taken and my unborn child most likely killed.
I felt the blackness surrounding, almost as if a lullaby lulling me to sleep. For the first time in my life, it wasn’t scary but it felt safe and like a sailor lured by a siren, I was lured to it until it took complete control of me.
